So I decided a few months ago to start my largest piece ever.  It is 60 inches by 47 inches and i think i may have bitten off more than i can chew.  

So my father is the biggest San Francisco Giants baseball fan.  Every year we go on a baseball roadtrip to see them play in a stadium hes never been to.  His goal is to see them play in every MLB stadium...we've been to 10 so far.

But anyway....this piece is a custom made pattern by me and it is of AT&T Park (Home of the San Francisco Giants) after they won they're last World Series.

This piece has almost 300,000 stitches...probably more since my brain couldn't do math... 630 stitches wide by 437 stitched long....274,310 stitches.   

I have been breaking it down into like 1,000-2,000 size squares to work on at a time.

I don't know how everyone else does their pieces...When I block them off I will only do 1 color at a time within that section.  I don't like to have 9 million thread colors off the side of my piece.

I probably started working on it March 1st - ish.  Later tonight, I'll post about how far I've come on it.  If i take it in smaller sections its easier for me to handle...knowing the size of the project.
